Meeting 09 Jan 2025

Today, we stayed in the New Year’s mood talking about how it’s celebrated by people from different cultures, other than the Europeans’ or (if you wish) Westerners’ one. Persians, Chinese, Hindus, Jews for example – they all have their own way of welcoming New Year, which is not quite what we can see happening in the streets of Poland, France or Spain. Then, we chit-chatted about technologies poised to revolutionise our lives in 2025, like brain-computers interfaces, personalised medicine or autonomous vehicles.
Materials worth discussing / watching / listening to:
- A video: How different cultures celebrate the New Year by Global News
- A video: Technology in 2025! by AI Uncovered
- An article: MIT Technology Review, What’s next for AI in 2025.
Winter Break: 20 Jan-02 Feb 2025
Winter holiday is something that you all have been waiting for since the New Year started. Haven’t you?! While having a good rest, feel tempted to dive into, for example, a good comedy sketch video on How The British Deal With Snow by Michael McIntyre or just look what our beautiful country has on offer in winter & watch Winter in Poland. More than you expected! Hmmm… maybe you’re fans of wild nature and would enjoy Animal Winter Wonderland by BBC Earth or A walk in the Arctic Circle. Another nice option for both: young & old: Curious George 🎄Christmas Special ❄️George vs Winter 🎄 All in all, have fun! You will definitely do it well, your own way.

Baby Boomers, Gen X, Y, Z and even Alpha. What do they have in common? How do they differ? What values do they have? What about their lifestyles? How do they approach work? What are their views on the world in general? What are their concerns? This is what we talked about today! Me, being a representative of Millennials (Gen Y) & club participants, belonging to Gen Z – we could have a nice exchange of opinions since, let’s say it out loud, we were born in different centuries !
